Youth Educator Job Description
Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Director of Education – After School Program the Youth Educator works for the Martin Luther King Jr. Family Services and is responsible for supervision, planning, implementing, and organizing the daily educational for their group. Youth Educators are engaging, dedicated, and caring adults responsible for transforming lives of children ages 5-13. She/he is responsible for development and implementation of program activity curriculum to support the academic achievement of children. The Youth Educator guides the academic and social development of children; ensuring a safe, enriching, and healthy learning environment. The MLKFS after School program offers Youth Educators the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of educational experiences and provides leadership development support – with the ultimate goal of preparing young people for future success.
