MLKCC began in 1977 as a Community Fellowship House providing outreach and community ministry. In 1978 the Center established itself as an independent, non-profit organization. The Center works with African American & Latino youth and families offering them opportunities to acquire self- help and self-empowerment skills. Services and supports are also provided for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses and their families. Community Leadership is a hallmark as the Center recognizes the many “Extraordinary People with Extraordinary Talents” within its community.
